Project DEEP is India's first non-profit dedicated to implementing Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCTs) to reduce poverty through rural development. The mission is to empower communities by providing direct, unconditional cash transfers to families in tribal hamlets, fostering dignity, choice, and self-determination. Project DEEP seeks to reshape poverty alleviation strategies and promote sustainable economic and social development by focusing on the community's ability to make decisions that best suit their needs.
This project involves building partnerships with different organizations (non-profits, think tanks, government, etc.) to build a community of practice which can propagate the idea of Unconditional cash transfers devoted to building a more dignified, robust and future ready social policy framework. The objective is to reach out to organizations aligning with Project DEEP’s mission of reducing poverty and empowering communities and gauge interest in a potential partnership. This partnership can be in the form of designing a cash benchmarking program for them or encouraging them to incorporate cash transfers in their program.
- Making a list of organizations that we can reach out to for a partnership with respect to UCT programs in India or outside
- Identifying 3-5 themes or impact areas such as education, healthcare, homelessness, criminal justice, etc. and create a concept note for the idenfied partners
