The Fels Institute of Government, an official sponsor of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, was honored to host delegates for a luncheon and panel discussion on 21st century community policing. A group of all-star panelists, alongside Eric Holder, former US Attorney General, discussed conflicts between authorities and their communities, successful models of community policing, and the impact of policymaking on law enforcement. Panelists included appointees to the White House Task Force for 21st Century Policing, local officials, and former Police Commissioner of Philadelphia Charles Ramsey. The conversation took place at the Free Library of Philadelphia on July 26th and was recognized as an official DNC event.
