Fels Selects Team of Senior Consultants
The Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce the addition of five senior consultants to the Fels Research & Consulting Group. This cadre of seasoned professionals will lead teams of Fels graduate students on contracted consulting projects in state and local government, as well as the nonprofit sector. Dr. Deborah Diamond is a Research & Strategy Consultant, developing strategies for growth, change and improved performance. Previously, Diamond served as the director of research at the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation (GPTMC), where she tracked Philadelphia’s visitor volume and statistics as well as calculated the economic impact of tourism and conducts strategic research. Dr. Diamond was also vice president of The Melior Group, a Philadelphia-based marketing research firm. She completed her undergraduate education at Bryn Mawr College and earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Chicago.
Michael Keats has over eighteen years of professional experience consulting to not-for-profit, government, and higher education clients. He has assisted clients with a wide range of management consulting as well as strategic planning projects, including market research and financial feasibility analysis. Prior to establishing his own consultancy in 2004, he was a Senior Manager with Deloitte’s Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, and Higher Education practice, which he joined in 1994. Mr Keats is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, the Center for Non-Profits, and the Technology Affinity Group of the Council on Foundations. He received his MGA from the Fels Institute of Government.
John Kromer is a Fels Faculty Member and Senior Consultant focusing on neighborhood recovery projects, and most recently served as Interim Director of the Camden Redevelopment Agency. Prior to joining Fels, Mr. Kromer served for eight years as Director of the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Housing and Community Development, the City’s housing policy agency. As Housing Director, Mr. Kromer managed the creation of the nation's largest housing counseling and settlement assistance program. Mr. Kromer received his BA from Haverford College and completed advanced course work in business administration at Temple University.
Dr. Leroy David Nunery, II, is Principal/Founder of PlūsUltré LLC, a management consulting company started in 2007 that specializes in enhancing the strategic, managerial and operational capacities of entities in the K-18 educational spectrum. Prior to forming PlūsUltré, his experience included serving as President of School Management for Edison Schools, Inc.; Vice President, Business Services for the University of Pennsylvania; and Vice President, Human Resources and Vice President, Business Development for the National Basketball Association. Dr. Nunery has extensive experience on non-profit and for-profit boards, and is part of the cadre of leadership coaches of "Leaders By Design". Dr. Nunery received his BA from Lafayette College, his MBA from Washington University, and his Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.Related News:
