The Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania is proud to announce the founding of an official chapter of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).

The ICMA seeks to advance professional local government worldwide. The organization looks to create excellence in local governance by developing and fostering professional management to build better communities.

In line with the mission of Fels, ICMA identifies leading practices to address the needs of local governments and professionals serving communities globally.

MPA and Executive MPA candidates will have to opportunity to benefit from the many services ICMA provides, including research, publications, data and information, peer and results-oriented assistance, and training and professional development.

The establishment of a chapter of ICMA underscores the practicality of the Fels degree: participation will further develop students’ robust public sector skill set and strong local and national networks.
