Harold Ford Jr.

Former Congressman and Managing Director and Senior Client Relationship Manager of Morgan Stanley 

Mr. Harold E. Ford, Jr., has been Managing Director and Senior Client Relationship Manager of Morgan Stanley since February 22, 2011. He previously served as Senior Policy Adviser of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (formerly, Bank of America) since May 2007. Mr. Ford served in Congress from 1996 to 2007 as a Democrat from the 9(th) district of Tennessee as a Congressman. Mr. Ford represented Memphis in the U.S. House for a decade. He served as Vice Chairman of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. since February 14, 2007. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors at The Broad Center For The Management Of School Systems since July 2012. He was a Leader/Member of the Blue Dog Democrats. He is Chairman of the centrist Democratic Leadership Council. Mr. Ford is a Professor of Public Policy at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. In 2000, he gave the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. Mr. Ford holds a Law degree from the University of Michigan and an American History degree from the University of Pennsylvania and appears regularly on MSNBC and CNBC. He is married and has two children.

Joe Watkins 

Former White House Aide to President George H.W. Bush and Political Commentator

Joseph “Joe” Watkins is senior advisor for Causeway Strategies, a regular political commentator for MSNBC, CNBC and Al Jazeera and a former White House aide to United States President George H. W. Bush. He was previously court appointed Receiver (chief executive) for the Chester Upland School District. Watkins served as a top aide to United States Senator Dan Quayle in the early 1980s before joining University of Pennsylvania President Sheldon Hackney’s staff as an assistant to the president. After leaving the White House, Watkins became an equity partner and managing director in an asset management firm with $3.2B AUM. Beginning in 2004 he served as a political analyst for CNN’s Paula Zahn Now and American Morning as well as a co-host for CNN’s Crossfire before moving to MSNBC as a regular political analyst and contributor. He occasionally co-hosts Squawk Box on CNBC and regularly appears on CNBC’s Power Lunch. He also analyzes major political news for AL Jazeera English and Al Jazeera Arabic.

Watkins is a graduate of the Middlesex School, the University of Pennsylvania and the Princeton Theological Seminary. He pastors a church in Philadelphia, serves on several boards and has received numerous honors and awards. He and his wife Stephanie are the parents of three married children and have five a Republican media analyst who works for MSNBC. Joe served as a White House aide under President George H.W. Bush and ran as the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor in Pennsylvania.
