Impact Investing Workshop with Permit Capital Advisors

The Fels Institute of Government is proud to host Adam Landau, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Permit Capital Advisors, for a discussion on impact investing. Some of the topics Adam will be covering include:

  • What is impact investing, how has it evolved over time, and where is it going
  • How it bridges the gap between the government sector, the non-profit sector, and the private sector
  • Why it’s timely from a fiscal and budgetary perspective
  • Professional opportunities around impact investing
  • A couple of case studies

About the Speaker: 

Adam B. Landau, CAIA is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Permit Capital Advisors, LLC. He is responsible for formulating and implementing the firm’s investment strategy. Prior to joining Permit, Adam served as Managing Director at McCabe Capital Managers, Ltd., working there from 1997 until 2011. Adam oversaw the integration of McCabe Capital’s advisory platform. He served as one of two portfolio managers on three fund of funds products, including a hedge fund of funds and a socially responsible investment (SRI) fund of funds, offered to clients of a number of major insurance carriers. Adam has built on these efforts at Permit, and has brought together his experience with SRI investing and work in the local non-profit community to help build an impact investment platform for both high net worth and foundation clients.

Adam received his M.B.A. (Finance) from Saint Joseph’s University and a B.A. (Economics) from Rutgers University. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He is a member of the Global Interdependence Center, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit whose mission is to encourage the expansion of global dialogue and free trade.
