Grant Writing Workshop with Dr. Colleen Terrell

Friday, May 19, 2017 - 9:00am to 3:00pm
Event Information:

Please join Fels for a Grant Writing Workshop with Dr. Colleen Terrell.

Currently an independent development consultant, Dr. Terrell has nearly a decade of experience in grant-related institutional fundraising. Most recently, she served as Director of Foundation and Government Relations at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts and, prior to that, as Manager of Foundation Giving at the National Constitution Center. She also has helped a variety of other organizations, from the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation to Philabundance, raise nearly $4 million in grant funds. Before turning her research and writing skills to nonprofit fundraising, Dr. Terrell taught literature and writing as an Assistant Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She earned her doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of Pennsylvania.

This workshop will include key elements from her grant writing course at Fels including how to identify the appropriate foundations, making the connection to the foundation, grant writing, and relationship management. This workshop is $250 and includes lunch. We are offering an exclusive discounted price of $150 for Fels students and alumni and attendees of the Women in Nonprofit Leadership Conference.
