For Spring 2023, this course will consist of a combination of once-a-week live Zoom sessions on Monday evenings (7:00-8:00 p.m.) and four intensive Fridays (1/13, 2/10, 3/17, 4/21) from 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This course has seats reserved for Fels students and gives priority to grad students. Permits can be requested on Path@Penn.

Course Description: 

This course will introduce students to key economic concepts such as scarcity, efficiency, monopolies and cost-benefit. Students will practice applying these principles to the range of decisions that public sector executives have to make in order to understand the trade-offs inherent in any public policy or program.
