Women of Fels

Since its inception, Women of Fels has remained committed to facilitating the professional development and personal growth of women pursuing careers in the public sector. We do so by building an exceptional network of MPA graduate students, faculty, alumni, and community members. Our group stays connected through events, a monthly newsletter, our Facebook page, and an advisory network.

Student government

SASgov and The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GAPSA) serve graduate students of the University of Pennsylvania. Each year, Fels students are elected to the SASgov and GAPSA executive boards, which allows them the opportunity to be a part of the University Council Steering Committee, led by University President Amy Gutmann.

Black Students and Alumni of Fels

Black Students and Alumni of Fels has remained committed to facilitating the professional development and personal growth of black students pursuing careers in the public sector. We do so by building an exceptional network of MPA graduate students, faculty, alumni, and community members. We stay connected through events, a monthly newsletter, our Facebook page, and an advisory network.

The Fels Student Association

The Fels Student Association (FSA)—the student government for the Fels Institute of Government—strives to enhance the Fels student experience through programming, community-building, and advocacy. FSA collaborates with the University and Fels administrators, alumni, and other student organizations to generate and implement academic, social, and career development initiatives that have a positive impact on the Fels experience.

International City/County Management Association (ICMA)

The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is the world’s leading association of professional city and county managers and other employees who serve local governments. The University of Pennsylvania’s ICMA Student Chapter provides opportunities for aspiring local government leaders to learn more about the field of city and county management through guest speakers, information sessions, and mentorship opportunities. Interested University of Pennsylvania undergraduate and graduate students can contact felsinstitute@sas.upenn.edu for more information.
