Jennifer Alleva is a Partner with Your Part-Time Controller, LLC. Founded in 1993 in Philadelphia, Your Part-Time Controller provides expert bookkeeping, accounting, financial consulting, Controllership and CFO services to nonprofit organizations from New York to Virginia. Ms. Alleva joined the firm in 2003 and was made Partner in 2007. Ms. Alleva is responsible for generating and managing client relationships, as well as hiring staff and ensuring that they have a rewarding and positive work environment.
Frequently asked to speak about nonprofit financial issues, Ms. Alleva has developed and taught classes for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement in Washington, DC, the National Association of State Arts Organizations, the National College Access Network, Delaware Division of the Arts and the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia.
Ms. Alleva graduated Cum Laude in 1988 from the Boston College School of Management with a BS in accounting. Upon graduation she worked for Arthur Andersen, LLP for eight years specializing in audits and business consulting in the financial services industry for clients ranging from $90 million to $2 billion in assets. Additionally, Ms. Alleva had audit responsibility for nonprofit clients which she found particularly rewarding. They included Memorial Hospital of Burlington County NJ as well as the hospital’s foundation, and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Ms. Alleva has held positions as Chief Financial Officer for Equity National Bank and Treasurer of Susquehanna Bancshares East, Vice President of Accounting and Finance for Marlin Leasing and has served as “Part-Time Controller” for several privately owned companies before joining Your Part-Time Controller.
Ms. Alleva served in the Junior League of Philadelphia and has also volunteered as a teacher of Junior Achievement’s Project Business. She served as Treasurer for the Nonprofit Development Center of Southern New Jersey and as Vice Chair of the Pastoral Council of Holy Eucharist Church in Tabernacle, NJ. Other volunteer activities include chairmanship of fundraising activities for the St. Mary of the Lakes School PTA in Medford, NJ and fundraising for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Ms. Alleva lives in Southampton, NJ with her husband David and their three children.
