Senior Consultant Publishes Op-Ed on PA Budget and Civic Engagement
In a recent op-ed piece, Fels Senior Consultant Harris Sokoloff proposes a new plan of action for public officials to discuss the 2013 fiscal year state budget. Mr. Sokoloff recommends a series of state-wide town hall forums that will gauge public temperament for the current political climate, budget shortfalls, and proposed budget cuts/tax increases. These town hall forums would also provide a venue for public discourse sheltered from partisan politics. More information on this topic will be available in the upcoming Research & Consulting Promising Practices report on Public Engagement.
