Harry Mayer '98: Leadership in Action in Haiti
Harry Mayer '98, Field Supervisor for the US Department of Health and Human Services Regional Emergency Coordinator Program, just returned from Port-au-Prince, Haiti where he was a US Government Liaison to the Pan American Health Organization.
During the first three weeks of the Haiti Earthquake response, Harry helped coordinate the multi-national health and medical response. As of February 1, 275 Federal health providers treated 24,500 earthquake victims, conducted over 100 field surgeries, and delivered 28 babies.
