National Expansion Strategic Plan

Organization:
ImpACT on Stage
City:
San Diego
State:
California
Organization Overview:

ImpACT on Stage is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote and enact social change through the use of live theater — by students, for students.

Through a variety of interactive, in-your-face performances in middle schools, high schools, and universities, ImpACT shares stories of bullying, inclusion, and interpersonal violence, and provides participants with strategies to de-escalate conflict situations. ImpACT also provides partner institutions with a proprietary curricula — tied to the Common Core standards — which reinforce ImpACT's strategies and further encourage students to act as UpStanders in their communities.

Headquartered in San Diego, CA, ImpACT on Stage has existed in various iterations for nearly 10 years, and for three years as a formal 501(c)(3). Since 2014, ImpACT has implemented programming for nearly 7,000 students in about 15 schools.

Project Name:
National Expansion Strategic Plan
Project Type:
Strategic Plan
Project Overview:

ImpACT on Stage has begun a strategic review to possibly begin expansion outside of the San Diego area. ImpACT hopes to expand to one or several additional cities, so as to bring its important programming to more students in need.

Ideally, this project will provide ImpACT leadership with a comprehensive review of the financial/time costs associated with the expansion, as well as identify possible cities to which expansion would be most ideal.

This project would be completed in conjunction with the following key stakeholders: Larissa Garcia, Director of Program Development; Danny Helms, Director of Outreach and ImpACTivism. The project would report to Jacob Gardenswartz, Founder and Executive Director.
