Robert A. Nixon
Robert A. Nixon has been a lobbyist and public affairs advisor with New Jersey’s largest government relations firm, Princeton Public Affairs Group, since 1995. Mr. Nixon’s diverse portfolio of clients includes the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Dell Computers, SAS Institute, the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association, and the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. Among his many legislative and regulatory successes, he has lobbied for significant expansions in law enforcement and firefighter rights and benefits; New Jersey’s first dedication of boat registration fees for maritime resources; and the award to firm clients of a number of Information Technology contracts.As an undergraduate, Mr. Nixon was elected twice as the State Chairman of the College Republicans of Pennsylvania. Since 1993 he has served as a political consultant and legislative aide to elected officials in New Jersey including State Senator Bill Gormley; former State Senator John Scott; and the New Jersey Assembly Republican Majority campaign committee. He also served as the Republican Municipal Chairman of Freehold, New Jersey.
Mr. Nixon has served on several state and local boards and commissions including the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Community Development Corporation; the Freehold Housing Authority; the Board of Trustees of the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Celebration Commission; and the Board of Trustees of the Freehold Little League.
He received a Master of Governmental Administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Politics from Saint Joseph’s University.
