Alumni Book Club Meeting

Thursday, September 28, 2017 - 6:30pm
Event Information:

This meeting is to discuss the first Alumni Book Club book "Evicted" on September 28th at 6:30pm. Local alumni will gather at Fels (3814 Walnut Street) to discuss the book over wine and cheese, and alumni outside the Philadelphia area can participate via a video conference call using this link.

The first book the group will read is "Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City" by Matthew Desmond. This New York Times Bestseller and winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction vows to "forever change the way we look at poverty in America." Matthew Desmond is a Harvard Sociologist and co-director of the Justice and Poverty Project.
