Project Overview: 

This project seeks to answer the following questions: 

  • How does Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation budget compare to other cities? 
  • What promising practices do other cities implement in order to increase revenue and cut costs down? 
  • Is there innovation happening in other cities that Philadelphia could recreate or expand upon? 

Deliverable: 

The student(s) should develop a budget campaign for the city based on their findings to the above questions. The student(s) should clearly layout a plan for engaging the communities, organizations, and legislatures around increasing the Parks and Rec budget. Based on their research, student(s) will make recommendations for the Parks Alliance about how to implement their proposed budget campaign.
