Undergraduate Programs
The Fels Institute houses a number of opportunities aimed at undergraduate students who are interested in exploring the public sector. If you'd like to develop practical experience through internships or learn about politics and policy through coursework, the Fels undergraduate offerings will give you with a solid introduction to public service.
MGA
The Fels Master of Governmental Administration (MGA) offers a broad-based education that prepares students for leadership roles in government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private firms engaging in public sector work. If you are committed to public service, the Fels MGA program will help you acquire the tools and understanding needed to be successful throughout your career.
Certificate Programs
Fels offers four rigorous graduate certificate programs in Economic Development & Growth, Nonprofit Adminstration, Politics and Public Finance that attract a diverse group of students interested in specialized fields within the public sector. If you are pursuing the Fels MGA, enrolled in other graduate programs at Penn, or work in the Greater Philadelphia region, a Fels certificate will prepare you for a career in public finance, nonprofit administration, economic development, or politics.
Dual Degree Programs
The Fels Institute offers several different dual degree options that give students the chance to pursue the Masters of Governmental Administration concurrently with another graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania. If you're interested in combining the study of public management with coursework in public health, education policy, social policy, environmental studies, or law, a dual degree program will allow you to obtain two Penn degrees in an accelerated format.
