Washington Semester Program: Housing

The University of California Washington Center is a new, 11-story facility constructed specifically to house the Washington programs of the eight University of California campuses (Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, UCLA, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz). The first UC students moved in during October 2001. The building, which can accommodate 280 students, is located on Scott Circle (where Massachusetts Avenue, Rhode Island Avenue, and 16th Street intersect), at the beginning of Embassy Row and just six blocks from the White House.

Students are housed in nice two-bedroom apartments with a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a TV, Ethernet connections in each bedroom, and cleaning service once a week.

To view the building and to access information about living there, you can visit the UCDC web site at http://www.ucdc.edu.
