Kettl Receives 2007 Stockberger Achievement Award of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources
The Fels Institute is proud to announce that Director Donald Kettl has been selected as the recipient of this year's Warner W. Stockberger Achievement Award, established to honor the memory of Dr. Warner W. Stockberger, a pioneer and leader in federal personnel administration. Stockberger was the first director of personnel for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and served as the first president of the Society for Personnel Administration, a predecessor organization of IPMA-HR. The Stockberger Achievement Award is presented annually.The purpose of the award, to be presented to Dr. Kettl in Chicago later this year, is to recognize and honor a person in public or private life who has made an outstanding contribution toward the improvement of human resource management at any level of government.
