A native of Kyiv, Ukraine, Anna has ten years of professional experience in the field of public health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and youth and at-risk children services in Ukraine and Moldova, including with the International Renaissance Foundation, Medecins Sans Frontieres – Holland, and the AIDS Foundation East-West. Anna holds a Master of Arts Degree from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Pennsylvania, for which she received a 2003-2004 Fulbright Fellowship.
The outstanding reputation of the University of Pennsylvania and the Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management put Fels on the top of Anna’s list when considering programs.
While a student at Fels, Anna served as the International Students Chair of the Student Board. She also consulted on coalition-building and developed proposals for the International Harm Reduction Development Program (IHRD) of the Open Society Institute in New York City and Big Brothers Big Sisters International in Philadelphia. She believes the strong professional training offered by Fels, combined with active participation in the local community, significantly advanced her career.
