Penn Programs in Washington, DC
Washington Semester Program (WSP)
The Washington Semester Program (WSP) operates in many respects like a semester abroad and offers Penn students an opportunity to learn from first-hand experience in political and governmental processes while taking courses taught by Penn faculty in the nation's capital. Although designed primarily to fit the needs of social science majors, the WSP may be suitable for science and humanities majors with a serious interest in public policy, politics, and government. The program features four course units of study (including a research project) and a work assignment (internship) in an organization or agency related to the student's career and research interests. Visit www.polisci.upenn.edu for details or contact Kristin Johnson at kristimj@sas.upenn.edu
This summer program, which includes a course offering, is limited to COMM majors with preference given to COMPS students. For more information, please contact David Eisenhower, Director of the Institute of Public Service, at deisenhower@asc.upenn.edu.
